Having had the opportunity to travel to Italy and having first-hand experience in the culture, the eating scene, and mostly importantly- the produce, was truly an eye-opening experience for me as a foodie. Pure ingredients, simple cooking and minimal human intervention. To me- that really captured what Italian food encompassed as a whole.

Malaysia being such a diverse, immersive, and food-loving country, we have Korean marts, Japanese marts, heck we even have Spanish marts. What’s missing? An Italian mart- introducing .

We work very closely with our distributor from Italy in sourcing, selecting, sampling, even to marketing the products that are brought in. Every single process throughout the product journey is meticulous, with checkpoints along the way in ensuring both our standards are met.

Who is

Hi! My name is Javen Chong. I’m a food product developer by day, and content creator by night (@javenbakes), with now being my 3rd identity?

I’ve immersed myself in the food scene since I was a child (baked my first apple pie from scratch at 9 years old). I even begged my parents to send me to culinary school when I was 16 (a story for another time!). I'm a foodie through and through—whether I'm in the kitchen recipe testing or out trying different cuisines, you’ll always catch me somewhere near a plate of good food.

My background includes a BSc in Food Science from the University of Leeds and a MSc in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London (UCL). Having been eating food for 23 years, studying about food for 4 years, I am now supplying food to you for the many years ahead!
